After serving as Crossroad's Associate Pastor of Student Ministries for 4 years, Jeff was called as Senior Pastor in June, 2016. He received training at Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary, Lynchburg, VA., and previously served with Campus Crusade for Christ and as Student Ministries Director at Westwood Church, St. Cloud, MN. Jeff is passionate about seeing people find joy, fulfillment, purpose and life in God. Jeff and his wife, Jessica, have four children: Brennan, Tenley, Macie, and Ronan.

    Tim Reed

    Pastor of Discipleship

    Tim has been a part of the staff at Crossroads Church since 2020. Originally from Albert Lea, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Waldorf University in 2001. Tim then carried on his education receiving a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2003. Later on, he attended seminary at Liberty University and graduated in 2022 with a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry. By way of the Potter’s hands, God has molded Tim through life experience and tribulation to give him an empathetic desire to help people grow in their walk with Jesus and to encourage them to live out that faith in every aspect of life. Tim and his wife Emily have attended Crossroads Church since 2006 and have four kids, Owen, Griffin, Ruby, and Eddie.

  • CJ Maricle

    Pastoral Resident - Blue Earth

    CJ and his wife, Klarissa, live in Clarks Grove with their daughter, Bentleigh. CJ is the owner and operator of Maricle Martial Arts in downtown Albert Lea, where he has the opportunity to mentor and teach nearly 100 students. Before stepping into ministry, he spent much of his professional career working in banking.

    After finding a true sense of belonging at Crossroads, CJ felt called into ministry and began pursuing ministry studies through Liberty University, graduating in 2025. He has a strong passion for helping children and families grow in their faith and is excited to serve and build meaningful relationships within the Blue Earth campus and community.

  • Gabe Taylor

    Worship Director

    Gabe began serving as the Worship Director in 2026 and is passionate about building worship environments that are authentic, Spirit-led, and centered on helping people encounter Jesus in a real way. He and his wife, Amberlea, spent several years serving with Youth With A Mission, where Seattle became their home base while traveling and serving in places like Cambodia, Thailand, South Korea, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Their time in missions deeply shaped their heart for discipleship, worship, and seeing people from every background encounter the love of God. Gabe especially loves investing in musicians and building healthy, sustainable worship culture within the local church. Outside of ministry, Gabe and Amberlea enjoy exploring new places, spending time outdoors, cooking together, and hanging out with their German Shepherd, Bennett, who takes his job as household security very seriously.

    Shanna Dawson

    Worship Leader

    Shanna began serving as interim worship director in August 2014, and joined the staff in June 2015.  She and her husband Jared have four children- Drake, Grace, Evie, and Alec- all of whom grew up serving at Crossroads and are now active in worship ministries here and at college. She received her training from Crown College and has a desire to see worship at Crossroads be a community of worshippers who glorify God through personal devotion, authentic worship, and a desire for excellence.

  • Lauren Fox

    Worship Leader - Blue Earth

    Lauren joined the Crossroads staff in October of 2025 as the Worship Leader of the Blue Earth Campus. Lauren grew up in Blue Earth and always said, “When I graduate college, I am never moving back!” Lauren graduated from Crown College in 2025 with a degree in youth ministry but felt called to use her gifts to lead worship. She connected with Crossroads, and long story short, God turned her “never” into the very thing He called her to do. Lauren is married to Carter, and together, they love playing pickleball, discussing theology, reading, cooking, and pranking one another. Lauren is a ladybug hater, golden retriever enthusiast, and will challenge anyone in Mario Kart Wii. She is grateful to be a part of our staff!

  • Tim Herrmann

    Production and AVL Director

    Tim joined the Crossroads team in March of 2025. He graduated from Crown College with a BA in Worship Arts and soon after moved to Redding, CA with his wife Erika where they resided for 5 years before stepping into full time ministry as a worship leader at a church in Great Falls, MT where he served for 6 years before God called him and his family to move back home to MN to be the Production and AVL Director at Crossroads as the church transitioned into a new season and new space. Tim is passionate about inviting people to the feet of Jesus and helping facilitate encounters with the Living God. Tim and Erika live in Emmons, MN with their three kids: Chloe, Tucker and Ella.

  • Crossroads Church Albert Lea - Staff Susan

    Susan Kliment

    Director of Family Ministry

    Susan and her family have been coming to Crossroads since 2005 when she and her husband began volunteering in children’s ministry. For 6 years she served as the Director of Children’s ministry and then stepped down to be mom. In March of 2017, she stepped back in as the Elementary Coordinator and loves to be back working with the kids and volunteers! Susan is passionate about passing faith and a love for Jesus to the next generation and has been doing so in camping ministry, youth ministry and now children’s ministry for a long time now! She loves being wife to Darrin, mom to Caleb, Samuel and Josiah, and raising their family in the country in rural Northwood, IA.

  • Crossroads Church Albert Lea - Staff Mollee

    Mollee Tscholl

    Director of Student Ministries

    Mollee began serving as the Middle School Director at the beginning of 2022. She and her family have been attending Crossroads since 2019. Mollee has been closely involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in Albert Lea since 2016, and and is currently serving as the FCA coordinator there. She is passionate about sharing Jesus with young people; walking alongside them, encouraging them, instructing them, and praying for them as they pursue a lifelong relationship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Mollee lives in Albert Lea with her husband Joe, and their three boys- Andrew, Seth, and Zack.

  • Josiah Kliment

    Middle School Director

    Growing up at Crossroads, Josiah experienced God working and moving through his church firsthand. Ministry has always been close to his heart. As a kid, he used to say, "When I grow up, I'm going to be a butcher and a pastor!" Well... he didn’t become a butcher, but his passion for ministry only grew. After working as a counselor at Bible camp and spending time overseas volunteering at a church, Josiah became confident in his calling to ministry. Today, he has the privilege of leading the middle school students at Crossroads. Josiah is married to his best friend, Tatum, and they are loving their new life together. Whether it’s traveling or tackling new adventures, they’re always finding ways to make memories.

    Heather Dokken

    Early Childhood Director

    Heather began serving as the Early Childhood Director in 2022. She has been a part of Crossroads Church since May of 2017 and has volunteered in many ministry areas, including MOPS, small groups, women's ministry, and Promiseland. She loves to encourage and disciple others and is excited to help the children and ​families of Crossroads build a strong foundation on Christ. She lives on an acreage with her husband, Jay, sons, Caleb and Joel, their dog Rufus and two cats, Dot and Sox.

    Hayley Farris

    Director of Leadership Development | Missions

    Hayley has been a part of Crossroads Church since 2008, serving in many volunteer roles before joining the staff team in 2018 as the Early Childhood Ministry Coordinator. In 2022, she transitioned to the dual role of Director of Leadership Development and Director of Missions. She provides leadership support to the ministry teams by equipping and encouraging staff and volunteers to identify and develop Christ-centered leaders, multiply leaders in each ministry, and increase the impact and influence of Crossroads Church for the glory of God. As Director of Missions, with the support of a volunteer team, she identifies, develops, and maintains connections with our local and global mission/outreach partnerships. Hayley lives with her husband, Nick, and her four children, Laiken, Eddie, Faith, and Maren, on a hobby farm just north of Albert Lea.

    Angie Lair

    Connections Director

    Angie began serving as Connections Director in July of 2023. Angie has been attending Crossroads Church since 2001. She has volunteered in youth ministries, elevate, and most recently the Sunday morning prayer ministry team. She recently completed her Coaching certification. Angie and Josh live in rural Glenville. Not only has the Lord blessed them with two sons (Tyler and Brady), but He has also blessed them with two daughters-in-law, Ali and Kendra. Angie is passionate about connecting with others, seeing them get plugged into ministry, and growing them to be followers of Jesus. She has been impacted by so many people at Crossroads Church throughout the years and cannot wait to connect new people into this family.

    Sharon Overgaard

    Bookkeeper

    Sharon is no stranger to the Crossroads staff. She began serving as Church Secretary in 1995 and now serves as Bookkeeper. Sharon and her husband, Stacey, are long time members of Crossroads and love spending time with their 4 adult children: Spencer, Sydney & Preston Smith, and Schafer, and grandson, Briggs, when they can. Sharon loves working with numbers and people.

    Ashley Haase

    Director of Administration

    Ashley has been attending Crossroads Church since its early days, meeting at Southwest Middle School. After college took her away for a time, she returned to the area and became deeply involved in Crossroads after marrying her husband, Brett, in 2006 and attending as a family. Ashley and Brett are blessed with three children—Bryn, Ledger, and Gage. She joined the staff in 2019 and now serves in several roles at Crossroads, including Director of Administration, Financial Assistant, and Connections Assistant. Ashley loves welcoming and connecting with people on Sunday mornings and enjoys investing in the next generation by volunteering with the youth ministry on Wednesday nights.  When she's not serving at Church, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, boating, going for walks, playing pickleball, and making memories together wherever life takes them.

  • Crossroads Church Albert Lea - Staff Marja

    Marja Stenzel

    Communications Director

    Marja has been part of the Crossroads staff team since 2019, beginning as the Office Assistant before stepping into the role of Communications Director in 2022. In her current role, she oversees church-wide communications, helping share the vision, events, and stories of what God is doing through Crossroads in a clear, creative, and engaging way.

    Marja and her husband, Jake, have been attending Crossroads since 2010 and have deeply valued the sense of community and belonging they’ve found here over the years. Together they live in Albert Lea with their four daughters: Charlotte, Adelynn, Lillian, and Eloise.

  • Josh Lair

    Facilities Director

    Joshua joined the Facilities Team in February 2025. He and his wife, Angie, have been part of Crossroads since 2002, where he was baptized and has served in ministries such as Safety, Prayer, Youth, and Small Groups. With more than 30 years in the construction industry, Joshua enjoys using his skills to serve the church. He loves the outdoors—especially hunting, fishing, and hiking—and he and Angie remain deeply committed to the Crossroads community. They are blessed with two adult sons and two daughters-in-law, and their whole family continues to call Crossroads home.

  • Cassi Benson

    Communications Assistant

    Cassi began attending Crossroads Church in 1995 while visiting her aunt and uncle and quickly developed a deep love for the church community. In 2005, she moved to Albert Lea to become more involved in the church she had grown to cherish. Over the years, she has volunteered in many different areas, faithfully serving and supporting the ministry in a variety of ways. In February 2026, she stepped into the role of Communications Assistant, continuing her commitment to serving Crossroads Church.

    Cassi lives in rural Alden with her husband, Brandon, and their three children, Emma, Benjamin, and Elizabeth. It has been a true blessing for her to witness how God has grown and worked in the lives of the people at Crossroads Church.
